Got chemistry?

Equations in life can be complex. Well, we cannot really arrive at an equation most times . Sometimes reversible, sometimes irreversible  kind of reactions do people expect. The trick probably remains in balancing the equation, however it is formed.  When two people fall for each-other, it might be best if the reaction were an irreversible one forming a single compound . Well, you can break the compound if you "really" want to, but at least it should not be as simple as breaking a mixture. Make sure the bonding between the elements are strong enough. (Do/Can people analyze things before falling for each-other? They probably do only when they fall apart :) ) When you're no longer an element, you may not be able to do what "you" want all the time disregarding the other element in the shared circle.  Two people wanting different things, but are limited to one process with shared resources -  There can be just one process, so the process needs to be carefully plann...

Geometric Life

Geometry and Life - Many a time I've wondered why I even learnt Geometry ..etc., at school. Recently I did realize how these come in so handy while interpreting Climate models (and so on) , or when it comes to "handling real life".  Had a "seriously funny" (:)) conversation with a friend yesterday. At some point he mentioned something about  "drawing parallels  between two people". Now, this drove me to write this blog post.  "Geometric Rules of Life" ( Is there  a rule without an exception?)  1) Parallel Lines of life  - People with like minds "will never" meet. So if you find someone who thinks just like you "every single time", please don't conclude that he/she is the right match for you.  Note: Weak rule. 2) Perpendicular Lines of Life - We think alike just once..but that's okay  since we get to meet at the "right" time (right angles).. 3) Curvy Vs Straight lines of Life - One person is really focu...

Oh no.. are you happy?

“ Doing what I want when I want it “ is something not many can experience. And when you do, most times you are “single”. You have your own space, time and sources to cheer you up without having to compromise your “anything”, but beware .. “If you are one like that, then people want to know why you are so (well..with a frown) , because “being happy is questionable!” . There are optimistic ways to look at this. But well, if you are termed pessimistic for being pragmatic, it's alright to be the former. Few lines from one of my favorite articles:   In a couple-driven consumer marketing society, you're bound to come across people who wonder why you're single, as if the ultimate goal in life is to pair up with another human being and cling to that ideal as if your life depends on it. They might even imply that something's "wrong" with you if you're single.  Note: "Just a blog post" ....

Is it just me ?

Failures are the stepping stones to success – Well, sure! But the more “often” we experience failures in life (how old am I ? ), the more do we forget to relish the fruit of success that crops up once in a blue moon ? Or is it the other way round ? Is it smartness or stupidity when I include the fear factor along with the accomplished success? Or can this be answered only with the proportions specified? Probably okay to be cautious, but not to an extent that your fear overrides joy. “Optimism is what I would love to possess and hence do I not possess the same” -- “It so happens that every time I buy a beautiful dress to add to my collections, I somehow lose an already existing, equally beautiful dress!” - Every time?? “ Just when I realized how smooth my drive was, I saw a car “almost” colliding mine!” “ On the announcement of something big that steered my way to buy a new home - I heard that I lost it even before I actually had it only when I was in my house war...

Memory Lane

Whatever be the heights of stress, listening to beloved Dr. M.S Subbulakshmi Amma's Kurai Ondrum illai" would just make me feel God with tears of joy. So many hurdles in life at every stage, be it a little one weeping for a candy .. or a school kid weeping all day either for missing her "A" grade or for having messed her school speech.. or a high school girl tossing a coin every minute to see if her love would be reciprocated .. or a frustrated woman losing her job on turning a quarter century ........ It feels so good to think that "the next minute is just a minute away" when we are really uncomfortable in some situations in life. But the moments we treasure in life? We probably cannot freeze that moment or order the clock to stay where it is. Neverthless, we can always move down the memory lane and grab those smiles. " The woods are lovely, dark and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sle...

Watch as you listen - Duet !

Movie : Thirupaachi Song: Kannum kannum dhaan Originally sung by Harish Raghavendra, Uma Ramanan Now rendered by Anand (Welcome Anand!) & Aparna Kind of a telepresence recording experience to produce a "blend of two voices" .. Here is the audio: If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element Yet another new experience - Tried to play with the Video of this song to replace the original audio with our version of the song. Tried my best to give a better audio-video sync effect. Although it's definitely not a "perfect mixing", it was worth learning! .. Thanks to PowerDirector! Here is the video..
