Sudha Raghunathan

I remember the days when I used to listen to Sudha's Thirupaavai for like thousand times.. Also I keep waiting to watch her sing and answer some music related questions in one of the best possible ways at the Margazhi Maha Utsav. I also remember the day I bought an audio cassette of the movie "Ivan" as soon as I knew that she is singing a number in the same. Her recent rendition of "Annul Maele Pani thuli" for the movie Vaaranam Aayiram is amazing (unlike the movie itself :) ) .. on the Natabhairavi scale .. I wish I could get the karaoke for this track as I am messing up with the track when I remove the vocals myself.. Listen to the original for now :)

"My thoughts for the moment"

"Hitting a homerun away from home makes the little bird's dollar miss the Indian Rupee .." (Losing a homerun too) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "I am the apple of their eyes and so do I bite my tongue in times of strike outs .. " -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nature and me

"When you touch me gently, I dance to your tunes .. When you hit me hard, I fall apart .. " Acc' to me, a unique style/idea maketh a successful artist. For instance .. be it ARR or Ilayaraja .. they have their own styles of composing. Now, did we inherit this from the Creator ? He seems to have a special common touch on all His Creations.. Did the quoted lines depict just about the flower and breeze? .. Note: I came across a sweet poem titled "Nature and me" just when I finished penning down this post. Rendition in Hindi

Song: Payalay chunmun Originally Sung By Chitra Movie: Virasat "Payalay chunmun" from the movie Virasat was .. another national award winning one for Chitra, the woman of best smiles and voice. Paayalay chunmun chunmun .. a romantic number. Weak in this language (Hindi) to give more descriptions :) Bear with the flaws in my singing and the language. Thanks!
