Glean from the passage of time

A few observations highlighted from 2018. 1. (A growing) Intolerance, especially for the Unspecific   (e.g  This and that)  The time and process involved in interpreting a vague message can be: cumbersome, unwarranted, sometimes malicious, very often follows an inaccurate synthesis and outcome.  2. Judge/question people that aren’t able to apologize. No apologizing, no forgiving. 3. Becoming a germaphobe has been worth it.  Makes you care less about what others think of you (crazy).  Safe than sorry. Cleanliness is godliness. 4. Being empathetic is too much trouble. Makes you overly imaginative.(good or bad -leave it to 2019) (Watch for empathy.. to not interfere with gullibility) 5. Just breathe. If you’re in love, If you’re a mom, If you’re sensible, If you’re you, .. expect turbulence, figure out your support system . Just breathe. (A post on my Two-second rule is in store for 2019) Wish you all a healthy and an oxygenated

Food is travel

Image
When I go on a vacation to places with varied cultural backgrounds and ethnicity, I can’t help but rate my vacation based on only ONE prime factor - FOOD. Travel and food almost always go together!  Recreating the magic from kitchens across the world right from my cozy kitchen is quite a way to explore the different cultures.  I bought myself a beautiful new induction cooktop (and a clad wok omg) for Christmas. Now, I’m vacationing in my kitchen, traveling with family to some of the cool/warm places in the world: no security checks or airline delays or pricy tickets or stomach bugs or screaming kid or apprehensive germaphobic mom. Merry Christmas to all. (Here's a snapshot of one of the Christmas Eve meals: A Vietnamese-ish summer roll with peanut-spicy sauce, Vegan Pad Thai and a Vegan Fruit cake..everything got sold out in no time :))
